In a way, the story of combat photography begins in the Civil War, as Alexander Gardner and his comrades captured the first images of battlefield death. But it has evolved significantly in the generations since. Gain insight from three iconic photographers featured in the Spring 2020 issue of Hallowed Ground magazine.
