The Little Rock campaign of 1863 began with the Union advance from Helena, culminating forty days later in seizure of the state capitol from Confederate forces after numerous actions and skirmishes. The driving tour includes detailed exhibit panels at Brownsville, near Lonoke; Reed's Bridge at Jacksonville; Ashley's Mills and Willow Beach Lake near Scott; and Fourche Bayou and Riverfront Park in Little Rock.
