Aldie Battlefield

Union and Confederate cavalry columns converged near the site of the historic Aldie Mill along U. S. Route 50.  Some interpretive waysides at the mill tell the story of the cavalry action that took place near there. The monument to the 1st Massachusetts Cavalry is 1.8 miles north of the mill on Virginia Route 734.
