Moores Creek Bridge Coin

3-D Model

Volunteer archaeologists found this 1738 British Half Penny while conducting a metal detector survey to more closely locate the site of the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge in Currie, North Carolina. Along with a 1760s button commemorating British King George III, it is one of two artifacts found on site that archaeologists and historians believe may relate to the February 1776 battle.
