10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Park and Earth Day - Volunteers meet at the Monocacy National Battlefield visitor center, 5201 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD 21704.

Planned Activities
Park Day volunteers will have the opportunity to assist National Park Service rangers in the upkeep and replanting of our Native Plant species garden around the visitor center. In addition, we also be doing trash clean up around the Junction and Best Farm Trails.
History or Educational Activities
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Junior Ranger Day - Junior Rangers meet at the Monocacy National Battlefield visitor center for program and hike.

Junior Rangers and Park Day Volunteers are invited to "Join the Infantry". Learn some of the movements, marches and drill of Civil War soldiers and take a march to learn about the battlefield landscape.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
All tools and equipment will be provided by the Monocacy National Battlefield staff, including gloves. Volunteers are encouraged to wear weather appropriate clothing and good shoes / boots.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
Please note
The Monocacy National Battlefield Park Day volunteer projects will occur rain or shine. The visitor center provides restroom facilities and a drinking fountain for guests.
Volunteer forms will be provided by the National Park Service and will be required to fill out by volunteers prior to participating. We look forward to having you and thank you in advance for your volunteerism!
