Lee and was home to four generations of the Lee family, including the only brothers to sign the Declaration of Independence: Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee. The 1,900-acre plantation includes the Great House, outbuildings, a visitor center, flower and boxwood gardens, a log cabin dining room, a gift shop, a gristmill, and trails.
