The Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial commemorates the Battle of Lake Erie, fought on September 10, 1813, and celebrates the lasting peace between Britain, Canada, and the United States that followed the War of 1812. Visitors can learn more about the battle at the Visitor Center and pay a fee to ascend to the observation deck at the top of the monument with a National Park Ranger.
