Historic Rock Ford, dating from 1794, was the home of General Edward Hand and his family as well as enslaved and free servants and laborers. During the American Revolution, Edward Hand was Adjutant General to George Washington. Visitors may enter the house and walk the land from April through October. Guided tours of the Hand Mansion for up to 15 visitors per tour are also available.
