The Port Republic battlefield, centered about three miles east of Port Republic at U. S. Route 340 and Ore Bank Road, still retains much of its wartime, agrarian ambience. The Port Republic Battle Monument is at the site of The Coaling on Ore Bank Road.
Preservation
The American Battlefield Trust and our members have saved more than 947 acres at Port Republic Battlefield.
