The Petersburg Breakthrough Battlefield is located within the Pamplin Historical Park. Each loop of the Breakthrough Trail features a series of wayside exhibits, many with audio messages that provide a complete tour of the battlefield. Many original entrenchments remain. Pamplin Historical Park is also the home of Civil War Adventure Camp, where citizens of the 21st century can experience life as a Civil War soldier.
