Hobkirk Hill Battlefield

Second Battle of Camden

Near Camden, South Carolina, British forces attacked a small force under Nathanael Greene stationed on Hobkirk Hill.  After a brief skirmish, the American troops were forced to retreat. A battlefield marker detailing the battle is located at Broad Street and Greene Street, two miles north of downtown Camden.
