Brandy Station Battlefield

Fleetwood Hill

Located along Route 29 among the rolling hills of the Culpeper County, Virginia, the Brandy Station battlefield – part of Culpeper Battlefields State Park – still retains much of its wartime character and is well worth the visit for those who wish to explore this great cavalry battlefield.  Many new acres have been preserved from residential development. Tours of the battlefield begin at the famous Graffiti House, a Civil War headquarters and hospital that serves as the visitor center.  Several exhibits and artifacts are there, and battlefield tours are available.
