Thomas H. Lauer
Vice Chairman of the Board, Civil War Trust
Thomas H. Lauer was a Managing Partner at Advent International Corporation from 1987 until his retirement in 2013. At Advent, he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and, previously, Chief Financial Officer. He also worked at Prime Computer, Inc. where he held several senior positions, and at the predecessor firm of Deloitte where he was a practicing CPA. Mr. Lauer also served as an Officer in the United States Navy. He currently serves on the boards of Advent, the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, and the Civil War Trust. Mr. Lauer received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the University of Minnesota. He lives in Boston with his wife Helene.
