Meeting place
Volunteers will meet with park staff at the War in the Pacific National Historical Park, Asan Beach Unit at 7am.
Planned Activities
Volunteers will assist park staff in picking up litter and green waste. Physical activities would include hiking and walking on uneven surfaces, bending and lifting objects no heavier than 10-20 lbs. It is optional to download the Clean Swell App and document types of litter pick up during the event.
History or Educational Activities
Upon arrival volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the effects of climate change on the unique island ecosystems in the Pacific.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
All supplies and equipment will be provided by NPS.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be cancelled.
Please note
Volunteers are encouraged to wear appropriate attire (closed toe shoes, pants, long sleeve shirt, sun protection), and bring a refillable water bottle.
