Meeting place
Volunteers will park in the gravel lot at Last Stand Hill (stop 3 on the Mill Springs Battlefield NM driving tour). They will then travel down the hill by the wooden fence to the registration table and event site that will be set up at Zollicoffer Park. There will be handicap accessible spots and an area to drop off individuals.
Planned Activities
- The major project will be cleaning up the acre of land that makes up Zollicoffer Park: raking, cleaning up sticks, and collecting trash for proper disposal.

- There will also be a group that will be addressing one of the snake fences on the property, helping maintenance staff to take apart and restack the fence to make it more stable and improve the viewshed of the park.

- If we have many volunteers come to the event, we will also work on cleaning the waysides inside the park.

A history of the park and the battle will be given by a National Park Service Park Ranger.
