Volunteers will meet at the General John A. Logan Museum 1613 Edith St. Murphysboro, IL 62966 at 9 a.m.
Planned Activities
This is the Museum's "Spring Cleaning" day and volunteers will help clearing paths, raking leaves, painting, repairing fences, trimming bushes, cleaning flower beds. In addition to the satisfaction that volunteer work brings, participants will also have the chance to about the people and events of the past at thier site. Lunch will be provided.
History or Educational Activities
Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the multiple historic sites that make up the museum grounds.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Please bring rakes, brooms, shovels and clippers and gloves if needed.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
