Manteo, NC 27954

Meeting place
Volunteers will meet outside of the Fort Raleigh Visitors Center, where they can sign up and complete forms before the activity begins at a registration table.
Planned Activities
Projects will include landscape maintenance where the programs conclude for accessibility, including removing dirt and debris, minor shoveling or digging, and raking. There will also be minor cutting and removal of debris and sticks from the beginning of the freedom trail. There is also the potential to clear vegetation and debris from the Fort’s earthworks.

Should I bring any tools or supplies?
All tools and supplies will be provided by Fort Raleigh staff. All we ask is that you dress appropriately for the weather with light layers, closed toed shoes, and a hat!
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to Saturday, April 13th, 2024.
Please note
North Carolina is very humid and "buggy" so, please bring and apply bug spray for your comfort while working outdoors!
