Meeting place
Meet in the parking lot. Bring work gloves and a lot of conversation. You never know about the weather so be prepared.
Planned Activities
Mowing, probably repacking mud in the cabin walls, cleaning trash, possibly burning excess damaged tree limbs.
History or Educational Activities
We always give information about when and how the fort was built and for what purpose. We talk about the soldiers and the cemetery on site and the history of the city of West Point, Kentucky and how it grew.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Yes. Hammers, nails, a chainsaw if you have one. Even a regular saw would help. Bring work gloves.
