Volunteers will meet at the Bentonville Battlefield Visitor Center, located at 5466 Harper House Road Four Oaks, NC 27524. Restroom facilities are only available at the visitor center. Some volunteers will be able to walk to work areas, others will carpool or be shuttled to other areas of the battlefield.
We will work together to clear, maintain, and clean markers in several cemeteries located on the battlefield. If enough time and participants allow we will also work to clear trails on the battlefield.
History or Educational Activities
Volunteers will be given the opportunity of a free tour of the historic Harper House, used as a field hospital during the battle, following the day's work.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Supplies will be provided by the site and Friends of Bentonville Battlefield. Volunteers are encouraged to bring hand tools for trail work if available but not required.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to Saturday April 13th.
