What did Liberty mean at different times and to different people? We'll look at various examples through time on our walk.

March 23 marks the 250th anniversary of Patrick's Henry's 'Liberty or Death' speech at St. John's Church in Richmond. Henry's words moved Virgina's leaders to prepare for war. Fighting broke out not long after at Lexington, Massachusetts.

St. John's Church is hosting special reenactments of the speech that day. If you didn't get a ticket, join our rangers for a special waking tour focused on the struggle for rights and freedoms through time in the Church Hill neighborhood.

This 2-hour tour covers 1.5 miles on city streets and sidewalks. The tour is free and begins at 3 p.m. at the Chimborazo Visitor Center.
