Colonial remembers 1st Rhode Island Infantry Regiment 

On April 12 - 13, Colonial National Historical Park will host a living history event highlighting the 1st Rhode Island Infantry Regiment's role in the American Revolution at the Yorktown visitor center. This was the first U.S. integrated military regiment in the Continental Army led by General Washington. Interpreters will share insights into the lives of Revolutionary War soldiers and the Regiment’s crucial role during the Siege of Yorktown in 1781. The park will offer family-friendly activities, including drilling and camp life demonstrations.
