This house served as the headquarters of Confederate Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson from November 1861 to March 1862. From here Jackson familiarized himself with the terrain that would later play a vital role in his famous Shenandoah Valley campaign.
Lexington, Virginia | Stonewall Jackson's grave is marked by Valentine's bronze statue of the general.
Winchester, Virginia | Dedicated in 1866, this cemetery contains the remains of over 2,000 Confederate soldiers killed in nearby battles.
