The Civil War exhibit displays artifacts, documents, and photographs of civilian Memphis, arms and equipment and currency. It provides material on the war around Memphis, the Battle of Memphis, Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, and Confederate veterans. A vignette of an artillery crew serving an ordnance rifle is the centerpiece of the exhibit. The Civil War exhibit is part of a larger museum.
