The monument at the Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is a 351 foot tall stone obelisk. The park here commemorates the birthplace of Jefferson Davis, the preisdent of the Confederate States of America. There is an elevator to an observation room high atop the structure from which visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the western Kentucky countryside.
