Located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley three miles northeast of downtown Winchester, the beautiful Third Winchester Battlefield is a must-see for any Civil War enthusiast. A new Visitor Center with videos, displays, and a gift store is on Redbud Road one mile east of Interstate 81. Several trails marked with interpretive waysides follow the battle action around Redbud Run.
Preservation
The American Battlefield Trust and our members have saved more than 473 acres at Third Winchester Battlefield.
