The River Raisin National Battlefield Park commemorates the January 1813 battle and the subsequent massacre of the same name during the War of 1812.  Officially opened in 2011, visitors can learn more about the conflict at the visitor center, which offers a diorama of the River Raisin settlement, a theater with an educational movie about the battle, and ranger talks.
