Forts Clinton and Montgomery

While the British destroyed Forts Clinton and Montgomery after the October 1777 battle, archeologists revealed sections of their original foundations and conducted extensive research on the site. Today, visitors can see these original foundations and visit the Fort Montgomery Museum to learn more about fortifications in the American Revolution and the battle. In addition, there are living history demonstrations of artillery, musketry, music, and camp life on the sites.
