Fort Stedman Battlefield

Managed by the Petersburg National Battlefield, Fort Stedman is located at tour stop #5 on the park's Eastern Front self-guided driving tour route.  The fort is part of the Union line encircling the Confederate defenses of that important city. A walking loop trail leads to Colquitt's Salient, from where the Confederate attack originated.
