Chippawa Battlefield Park

Visitors to the 300-acre Chippawa Battlefield Park, owned by the Niagara Parks Commission, can use the self-guided walking tour to retrace the Battle of Chippawa, fought on July 5, 1814. In addition, they can see the memorial cairn, which is dedicated to the regiments and First Nations warriors who fought in the battle and commemorates the peace that has prevailed between Canada and the United States ever since.
