Winners of the 2025 Anthem Awards were announced this morning, and the American Battlefield Trust was thrice honored for its work across a variety of categories:
Silver Winner — Local Awareness Campaign: Prince William Digital Gateway Advocacy
Awarded for the Trust's strategic, community-driven advocacy against what would be the largest data center complex on the planet, planned to be built directly adjacent to Manassas National Battlefield Park. To pursue this and other advocacy efforts, the Trust needs financial support from members and activists.
- Silver Winner — Best Use of Data: Medal of Honor Valor Trail
Recognizing the Trust’s transformation of Medal of Honor history and geographic data into an engaging national experience that helps audiences explore individual stories of valor.
Bronze Winner — Capital Campaign: Our Enduring Legacy
Honoring the Trust’s Our Enduring Legacy campaign — the largest battlefield preservation campaign in American history — which will provide the critical resources needed to expand preservation efforts, meet today’s challenges and seize tomorrow’s opportunities.
“We are humbled to be recognized among such incredible peers and change agents,” said Trust President David Duncan. “While we are proud of this honor, we also know our work is far from over, and we look forward to continuing the fight to preserve our nation’s history.”
The Trust’s initiatives were selected from more than 2,000 submissions from 42 countries. Now in its fifth year, the Anthem Awards amplify voices that spark global change and inspire others to take action in their communities.
“This has been a challenging year for the impact sector, but the Winners of the 5th Annual Anthem Awards have shown their resilience and continued commitment to a better tomorrow,” said Anthem Awards General Manager, Patricia McLoughlin. “This year’s winners are a source of hope, and I am excited to celebrate their work with the world today.”
The recent honors add to a robust list of awards earned by the Trust in its nearly 40-year history, including recognition each year at the Anthem Awards, for projects like the American Revolution Experience and the Trust’s Step Into History video series.
