Traveling Exhibition at the Wayne County Historical Society of Ohio

The Wooster-Wayne Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust are excited to feature the American Revolution Experience at the 1873 Schoolhouse on the Wayne County Historical Society of Ohio's campus from Sunday, August 25, 2024 through September 3, 2024. This innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology and unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.
The exhibit will be open the following hours:
- Sundays and Labor Day - 1 pm to 5 pm
- Monday through Friday - 10 am to 6 pm
- Saturday - 10 am to 4 pm
Special Events:
- Saturday August 31, 10 am-4 pm - General David Wooster, a hero of the American Revolution, will be headquartered at the historical society. Visitors may be asked to enlist in his Connecticut regiment or sign an oath of allegiance. General Wooster is portrayed by Dr. Jason Edwin Anderson, an educator, historian, and author.
The American Revolution Experience is free to attend and all ages are welcome. Regular admission rates apply for those interested in touring the Wayne County Historical Society's campus.
