Meeting place
We will meet at the Cemetery Arch at 9:00 a.m. Resaca Confederate Cemetery is located at the end of Confederate Cemetery Road.
Planned Activities
We will do a general cleaning of the cemetery, general landscaping activities, raking leaves, picking up trash and deadfalls. We will replace all the small flags on the headstones and install a new flag on the flagpole.
History or Educational Activities
A local historian will be onsite.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Please bring rakes, weed cutters, leaf blowers, and any other landscaping tools you may wish to bring.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Please note
A hot dog lunch will be provided for all volunteers. There are no public restrooms at the cemetery.
