Planned Activities
In honor of America’s 250th celebration year and the Park’s 100th birthday this summer, volunteers will help refresh the grounds by creating new flower and garden containers around the Visitor Center. Volunteers will also participate in a field clean‑up, picking up debris to keep the landscape welcoming for visitors. These efforts will enhance the Park’s appearance during this milestone year.

NPS staff will share the historical context of Petersburg National Battlefield.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
All tools will be provided by the Park. If you have a preferred pair of work gloves, you may bring those!

In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
