Meeting place
Volunteers should meet at the Palmito Ranch Battlefield Historical Marker on the south side of Highway 4, 16 miles east of Brownsville (6.7 miles east of Oklahoma Ave) at 9:00 AM.
Planned Activities
Volunteers activities will include litter pickup and light to moderate site maintenance activities.
History or Educational Activities
A tour of interpretive points around the battlefield will be available.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Bring your favorite work gloves, all other supplies will be provided. Exposure to sun and mosquitos is probable, volunteers are encouraged to bring their preferred sunscreen and insect repellent, especially if they have skin sensitivity issues.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
