Meeting place
Volunteers will meet at the Visitor Center at 8:00 am, parking will be in the field to the left of the Visitor Center. There will be someone directing volunteers to the designated parking area.
Planned Activities
Volunteers will be performing cyclic maintenance on the Kennesaw Mountain Trail starting at the parking lot at the top of Kennesaw Mountain and continue down the mountain towards the park's Visitor Center.
History or Educational Activities
Volunteers will receive a brief history of the 1864 battle as well as the historical landscape of the site, prior to working. Artillery Living History demonstrations will also be available for volunteers to attend (programs are offered at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm - Visitor Center front field).
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
No, but recommended that volunteers bring their own water bottle and, if they prefer, volunteers can also bring their own work gloves. Volunteers are required to wear long paints and closed-toed shoes.

Tools and work gloves will be provided.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to May 9, 2026.
Please note
Volunteers will receive parking passes at the parking lot. Individuals will need to check-in at the picnic tables near the parking lot. Volunteers under the age of 18 years old will require a legal guardian's permission (the legal guardian is required to complete this section of the form prior to the minor volunteering).
