Meeting place
Volunteers should meet at the parking area beside Historic Salubria between 8:45am and 9:00am. Follow the gravel driveway through the gate, and park near the modern cottage. We will convene near there.
Planned Activities
A variety of indoor and outdoor activities will be available, including:
-Cleaning up the Salubria Community Cemetery (clearing brush, picking up deadfall, cutting back saplings)
-Repairing the split-rail fence (digging holes, inserting fence posts)
-Tidying up outside the house (picking up deadfall, raking leaves)
-Tidying up inside the house (sweeping, dusting)
-And more!

History or Educational Activities
Volunteers will be treated to a special behind-the-scenes tour with staff.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
We have some tools available, but if you have your own, bring it! We will be using clippers, post diggers, saws, axes, hatchets, loppers, brooms, rakes, dusters, and shovels. Volunteers should also bring gloves and any other protective gear. Wear sturdy shoes, long-sleeves and pants.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to Saturday May 2.
