Meeting place
We will gather on the front steps of Glenmore Mansion a little before 10am for our annual photo for the newspaper. Assignments for the various zones will be determined and places commence cleaning, planting, or clearing brush.
Planned Activities
Clearing the area around the fencerows, planting flowers and herbs, cleaning porches and walkways, and spreading mulch.

We invite all participants to become a member of the Glenmore Preservation Society: $25 annually for singles, $10 for students.
History or Educational Activities
A brief description of life during the Civil War and the preparations made for the building of Glenmore. Workers in and owners of the mansion, and life within the walls of Glenmore will be discussed along with the plantings and gardens which helped feed the various owners and town. With the Mill many brought their corn and grain to be milled. The land around Glenmore was farmed with cattle and crops. Mining on the property and around town. The train tracks and depot.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
If you'd like to bring your own tools, please do so. There will be some gloves and other articles that can be used for the day.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.

Please be in contact with Susie (865-805-7511) if you want to do something specific on Park Day. Otherwise we will let you know where we need your help on Saturday morning after our greetings on the front step at 10am.
