Planned Activities
We will go to the Fort Stanton State Veterans Cemetery and do cleanup work throughout the 13-acre site. This was originally and part still is, section with wood crosses, the U.S. Marine Health Service Cemetery
History or Educational Activities
When we meet at the Visitor Center, we'll watch a 10 minute video on the Fort history, and then do a time-shortened tour of the Fort.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Wear long-sleeve shirts and long pants, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, hat (boony type being the best) and bring work gloves. Water will be provided.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
Please note
For inclement weather, we'll return to the Fort and work inside on small projects too be determined.
