Meeting place
Volunteers should meet at 9:00 AM at the Education Pavilion, located approximately 1/2 mile inside the park on Fort Heiman Road.
Planned Activities
Activities for the day will include assisting park staff with the removal of split‑rail fencing along the roadside.
History or Educational Activities
A short program will be presented on the history of Fort Heiman and its role in the Battle of Fort Donelson.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Volunteers should be prepared to work outdoors for an extended period of time. Bug spray, tick repellent, sunscreen, and bottled water are highly recommended. To help prevent splinters, volunteers should also bring their own work gloves.

In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be cancelled.
