Meeting place
Volunteers will meet at 11 AM outside the Visitor Center at the Colonial Farmstead.
Planned Activities
Volunteers will provide support for the site's historic kitchen garden including planting and weeding. Produce and plants from the garden are instrumental in cooking programs, hands-on educational offerings for youth, volunteer engagement, and the site's food donation.
History or Educational Activities
The Farmstead is also hosting its annual Sheep Shearing event that day and registered volunteers will receive free access to the event and all living history activities including spinning, weaving, washing wool, dyeing, carding, and more.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
We encourage volunteers to bring work gloves if able.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to Sunday, April 26.

The Farmstead is an outdoor living history farm. Please be prepared for outdoor conditions and uneven terrain.
