Volunteers should meet along Parker Lane in the Lookout Valley area of Chattanooga, TN.
Planned Activities
Chickamauga & Chattanooga NMP is looking to clear brush and debris to create a trail to Captain Micheal Wiedrich's 1st New York Battery located on Bald Hill as part of the Battle of Lookout Mountain.
History or Educational Activities
Park Historian Jim Ogden will give a brief overview of the battery and its role in the Battle of Lookout Mountain on November 25, 1863.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
The park will provide all tools and PPE. If volunteers would like to bring their own gloves, they are welcome to do so. A water bottle and lite snacks are recommended. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather and for working outdoors. Sturdy footwear is required as the terrain is hilly and undulating.

In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be cancelled.
