Meeting place
We will meet at the main parking lot for the battlefield, which is just north of the DeKalb Monument--turn right just after the big sign to access the parking lot. We will meet at 9 am.
Planned Activities
We will pick up trash along the road and clean up the trails.
History or Educational Activities
We will offer a guided battlefield tour for all volunteers after work is completed.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Wear sturdy shoes, and work gloves are recommended. We also recommend sunscreen, bug spray, and water. (There is no water source at the battlefield.)
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
Please note
There are no bathroom facilities other than a porta-john. Trails are mulched, but sometimes uneven--may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
