Meeting place
Meeting place will be at the monument, which is about one mile down the main road from the entrance sign. We will be there starting at 7:30.
Planned Activities
Cutting grass, weed eating around the various monuments, picking up of down limbs, and just general cleanup of the site.
History or Educational Activities
Strictly a work day. We do educational days separately.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Push mowers, Zero turn mowers, rakes, limb pruners, a blower, and a wheel barrow.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to May 2nd.
Please note
Skeeters and yellow flies will eat you alive if you do not have a good quality bug spray. We have skeeters like small helicopters. This battlefield is in the middle of a swamp and at the confluence of Brier Creek and the Savannah River. A lot of water means a lot of biting bugs. Welcome to Georgia!
