Meeting place
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Appomattox Court House NHP will participate in the 30th annual Park Day, sponsored by the American Battlefield Trust. This year’s project will be to scrape, replace, and paint a large section of picket fence within the historic village of Appomattox Court House. Participants should arrive at the park at 9:00 a.m. and plan to stay until 2:00 p.m. Please meet at the Visitor Center in the Historic Village. Water will be provided, but participants should bring their own lunch. This event is an excellent opportunity to continue preserving our nation’s Civil War sites and parks for present and future generations.

The park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information or to RSVP for the event, contact Alyssa Holland, Volunteer Coordinator, at Alyssa_Holland@nps.gov or at 434-408-3590
