Join the Museum of Culpeper History to learn all about tracing your family tree! Want to find your Revolutionary War ancestor before the 250th anniversary of American independence? 

The Museum of Culpeper History will host a genealogy seminar the evening of Tuesday, May 21 as part of their ongoing lecture series.  The program will provide an introduction to researching family history for newcomers, as well as insights to available resources that could benefit those with prior experience.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, this event is perfect for anyone interested in uncovering their family history. Discover tips, tricks, and resources to help you on your genealogy journey. Don't miss out on this opportunity to delve into your past and connect with your roots in this seminar with researchers Bill and Cat Schwetke of the Culpeper chapters of the Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution.

The program will touch on researching Revolutionary War ancestors in a nod to the ongoing VA250 commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Virginia’s participation in the independence movement.

The seminar will be led by Bill and Cat Schwetke, a husband and wife team who have performed extensive research on their own family trees for membership in the Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution, respectively.  After uncovering their own roots, they have devoted time to assisting others track down their own family history.

The program cost is $5 per person, with museum members attending free.
