March Webinar 2026 Celebrating Independence Day

How have Americans celebrated the Fourth of July in the past? In 1776, John Adams predicted that his fellow citizens would commemorate independence annually with "Shews, Games, Sports...Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations." Let's explore the past of Independence Day celebrations over the last 250 years!

You’re invited to join the American Battlefield Trust for a free Resource Spotlight Webinar, where we’ll explore historic celebrations, explore primary sources for Fourth of July through the centuries, brainstorm easy educational ideas to celebrate "the 250th" before the school year ends and play with AI tools to make the "party planning" easy for you.

Sarah Kay Bierle, from the American Battlefield Trust’s Education Team, is excited share some of her favorite Independence Day accounts with you. You'll receive a collection of free resources and an attendance certificate is available by request during the session.
