Colin Shen

Colin Shen, of Houston, Texas, is a member of the 2022-2023 American Battlefield Trust Youth Leadership Team. 

For his capstone project Colin aims to commemorate lesser-known war heroes by creating an art gallery. This gallery will be used to educate communities across America on the importance of American history and the sacrifices Americans have made.

"To me, historic preservation is a way to celebrate American ideals, while also commemorating the sacrifices of ordinary soldiers. By providing a tangible means to experience old battles, I'm able to recognize the suffering people have endured to preserve American ideals."
