Both Confederate and Union armies prized the Standardbred horses raised on this plantation, which primarily grew tobacco and hemp. Everyday antebellum life of the Bryan family - including that of their slaves - is interpreted here. The 1847 brick residence is of classic Greek Revival design; three original outbuildings, including slave quarters, remain.
