Site of the longest, continuous battle in the American Revolutionary War. The Battle of Monmouth marked a successful return of the Continental army following the brutal winter and occupation of Valley Forge. It would also lead to the prosecution towards General Charles Lee for his failure to push a satisfactory advance towards the British rearguard.

The Battle of Monmouth featured a diverse group of Patriots, soldiers such as Winsor Fry and Michel Capitaine du Chesnoy came from completely different backgrounds, yet both faced similar hardships, and aspired to thoughts of freedom and revolution. You can find out more about both of these Patriots at the American Revolution Experience.
