General Herkimer Marker in Utica, New York. This marker commemorates the site of Old Fort Schuyler, which, abandoned at the time,
sheltered the wounded General Herkimer during the night of August 6, 1777, on his return journey after the Battle of Oriskany.
The marker is in Oneida County, Utica, New York. It is on Main Street west of Railroad Street, on the right when traveling west. This historical marker is located in a small downtown park called Bagg's Square Memorial Park.
